So it's been a while since I've done a blog post, to be honest now the better weather is here I've just been so busy! As well as doing my dog photography, I also work 3 days a week. So my time has been spent either working, shooting photo sessions, or editing!
The dog photography sessions are super fun though, and I absolutely love doing them. Meeting all different kinds of dogs and their pawrents is just brilliant!
Last week I did a shoot for a 16-year-old Collie that you can see above, she has a few health problems and her owners wanted a Twilight shoot for her, with 5 family members too! Now I've never really been one for doing people portraits, but I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed the shoot. Her name is Molly, and she has to be one of the sweetest old ladies that I have ever had the pleasure of photographing. Isn't she just adorable!
Even though she's still mobile to a certain extent, she struggles to walk too far. So her owners bought her a little cart, and they can wheel her around in that! Editing these kinds of shots always makes me very emotional, what a shame that our dogs can't go through our whole lives with us. This was just a quick candid shot, but look at her little ears!
Don't put off getting those extra special photo memories of your dog, you will more than likely regret it once they're no longer with you.
My Twilight package is tailored especially for older dogs. A little extra time (or a lot of extra time if that's what your senior dog needs) to allow them to rest, or just plod along at their own pace. If your dog isn't very mobile, then don't worry. I can work around him or her. I can get some lovely shots of them just sitting or lying down. Family members are also welcome to join in with some shots. Everything will be kept nice and relaxed, just how a senior dog likes life to be.
After the shoot, I will head home to start sorting through the (possibly) hundreds of images. These will be narrowed down to a final 10 or 15 (sometimes more) These final shots will all be fully edited, and then I will upload them to a private gallery where you are welcome to download all of those images. I know some pet photographers that charge for the final images, or allow you to pick one or two to download. Others will only provide social media size images, which are not the best for printing out. The images that will be in your gallery are 'all yours', in high resolution format, with a personal use licence meaning that they can be printed out in high quality.
Not only do you get to keep every digital image that I upload to your gallery, but with my 'Twilight' package, I will ask you to pick your favourite 3 images, and I will have these printed out for you, and delivered to your door.
So what are you waiting for? Head over and book your twilight shoot now! By the way, you can also have a twilight shoot even if your dog isn't a senior, you will still get those 10-15 digital images, plus 3 prints of your choice.
Let's end on an 'Old Dog Quote'
